DRD Holds Talkshow About TOD Area Management System

The Regional Research Council (DRD) together with Communication Information and Statistic Department (Diskominfotik), held a talkshow with theme of 'TOD Management System in Jakarta' on the 2nd floor of Block F, Jakarta City Hall, Monday (11/11).

TOD is one solution to unravel congestion in Jakarta

Commission III DRD Member, Joko Adianto explained, his side wants to support Jakarta Provincial Government to build cooperation with other institutions in order to develop the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) area in Jakarta.

"TOD is one solution to unravel congestion in Jakarta. It needs coordination inter-sector and inter-institution or maybe cooperation with other regional governments on the greater Jakarta," he mentioned, at the location.

City Asbang LH Reviews Dukuh Atas TOD Planning

Jakarta City Planning and Environment (PKLH) Bureau Head, Afan Adriansyah Idris stated, traffic congestion in Jakarta could be unraveled by providing TOD areas. Because people will be encouraged to switch from private vehicles to use public transportation.

"We are currently developing it in Dukuh Atas, Lebak Bulus, and Blok M. Hopefully it can unravel the congestion," he asserted.

Regarding Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 44/2017 about TOD Area Development, which is a mix of residential and commercial areas with high accessibility towards mass public transportation.
